Initial Training for Homeownership Professionals â–º

If you’re new to our professional network, this two-part training is your first step. 

  • Part 1: Commission Home Loan Programs is required for all who wish to originate Commission loans or teach homebuyer education classes. Offered from 8:30 to noon the first day.
  • Part 2: Homebuyer Education Instructor Training is required for all real-estate professionals and nonprofit partners, as well as all lenders teaching homebuyer education. Offered from 9 a.m. to noon the second day.

Cost:
o   Lending professionals – $60 (same cost for Part 1 or both parts)
o   Real-estate professionals – $110. Must attend both days. Includes 6 Clock Hours.
o   Nonprofit partners: $60 for the first attendee, $10 for each additional (up to five total). Must attend both days.

Advanced Downpayment Assistance Training â–º

This one-hour training goes into depth on all the Commission’s downpayment assistance programs, including HomeChoice, and provides information on other statewide programs as well.
You must attend Part 1 of Initial Training for Homeownership Professionals to access this training.

Cost:
o   Lending professionals – $30
o   Real-estate professionals – $30
o   Nonprofit partners: Free (up to five staff per organization)

Back-Office Training

These free, optional trainings guide processors, closers and underwriters through our loan reservation system.
