The Washington State Housing Finance Commission continues to tear down barriers to homeownership by expanding our offerings and options.
Effective July 17, 2023, the Commission has added duplexes (2-unit properties) to our Home Advantage first mortgage program when utilizing one of the following downpayment assistance programs:.
Home Advantage DPA
Home Advantage Needs Based DPA
HomeChoice DPA
Veterans DPA
We will accept your AUS approval findings and your underwriter’s signed/dated approval with no additional overlays to agency guidelines for duplexes.
Any Home Advantage Gov’t loans including manually underwritten loans temporarily going to Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA), the above criteria applies.
