Dear Lending Partners:
To provide further clarification and enhanced the first-time homebuyer definition for single-parent, we have added additional verbiage to first-time homebuyer in the Covenant DPA program manual.
A single-parent who has only owned a home with a former spouse while married.
- Divorce Decree showing custody or joint custody of minor children.
- Any real estate has been listed for sale or sold by the required time in the divorce decree or within 60 days (or a reasonable amount of time, with a letter of explanation) after the divorce is final.
Please note: Only the Commission can make eligibility determination for the program
