Dear Lending Partners:

Please read in its entirety.

Covenant Pre-Reservation Process:

  • Pre-Reservation process for Covenant loans: Covenant DPA loans on and after Monday April 20 must follow the pre-reservation process – no exceptions. Learn more here

What do I need to do?

For Covenant loans, be prepared for the new pre-reservation process. Read the announcement, FAQs and how-tos here.

  • Don’t send Covenant family history documents to homedocs – follow the new pre-reservation process. You can find Covenant Pre-reservation Process Instructions here, under Downpayment Assistance Programs – Covenant DPA.
  • Even if your borrower’s family history has been accepted by the Commission prior to April 20, you will need to upload the family history documents along with the signed 1008 and homebuyer education certificates into the new Lender Portal Reservation system in order for your borrower to be placed on the Pre-Reservation list – no exceptions!
  • Do not have your borrowers go under contract until your borrowers have received and acknowledged the authorization letter from the Commission to search for a home.

Thanks for your patience during this transition!
